At least the MG will still be as unreliable as the TR

I wish I had a garage to put my TR7 in.

Always sad to have to get rid of a car we put so much work into. So much time wasted (enjoyment of it aside). Over there you're glad to have a garage to put it in. Over here we just wish we had a six car garage. Different lifestyles/expectations of different societies.

My dream house is a six car garage with a house on top of it.

My sentiments exactly. As long as the garage has a lift and is wired for a welder. [8D] Maybe a eight or ten car garage would be better?[;)]

hmmmm my garage has a basement attached to it and a bedroom over it ....and its the most horrible place for a garage I've ever had the displeasure to own !!!

-The car makes the house smell of exhaust every time you start the car...not to mention the famous britsh car sent of gas mixed with oil ;)
- spray bombs get even more grief from the swambo than exhaust fumes ...
- use of air tools is forbidden after the kids go to sleep (and they are still young so that means cut off is 730pm
- it's below ground level so rain storms could be dangerous ...
- conveniently located to the family room by one door, so automatically becomes home to drifting bags of clothes and other misc appliances/junk that the wife feels are not important enough to keep in the house, but to good to give away ......

Btw Dave make sure to grab anything important off the dhc before its too late !

All this talk of garages made me think - how about a thread (again?) about our garages?
It's interesting to read about all the different approaches for solving the age old question of
the garage/hobby room/toy storage for us adults - in so different corners of the globe... [8D]

Dave you should enjoy your MGF if it's anywhere as sorted as mine.
hopefully by now the head gasket has been replaced with the upgraded type and stupid plastic head locating dowels have been replaced with steel ones.
