Yes, makes you wonder what is out there, tucked away in barns & garages in various states of disrepair, doesn't it John?

These are very rough figures but IIRC an enquiry with DVLA a few years ago showed that roughly 10% of all UK TR7s were still road registered or on SORN, so that would be say 2,500 cars? So allow for cars being scrapped since then, even say at the extreme maybe half of that 2,500, then there would still be well in excess of 1,000 7s (&8s!) in existence in the UK. And how many do we ever actually see at shows & events, or even just being driven around? Just a handful really, so there must be literally hundreds that are off the road, or the rarely used, or the owners just don't take part in organised events.

Talking of the Southern Skys style sun roof, do you remember the TR7 coupe that was for sale a few years back, on eBay I think, that was once owned by Jonathon King? I am darn sure that had a bronze tinted sliding glass sunroof just like the Southern Sky one. Whatever happened to that car?

Some good digging there John.

This is very dangerous I have found....look too much and you will find something that calls your name.

Thanks enjoyed it, especially that it is on the other side of the ocean...hold me back!

Paul
