TRR676R Lives again

Postby rosey » 06 Dec 2011 21:13

You may remember that Simon hubbard was asking if his FHC was worth anything and I volunteered to save it and get it running again.

Well, the good news is that after quite a few weekends of fettling the replacement cylinder head, water pump, carbs, ignition etc... she lives again[:D]

The only problem seems to be a dribble from the water pump when the engine is running but i will sort that later when I have tuned the engine properly (when the weather warms up a bit)

A few of the problems I found, blocked water transfer / inlet manifold pipe

Sooted up Carbs (must have been seriously backfiring to get this bad, I had to polish it off as carbcleaner wouldn't touch it

and after I media blasted it in my trusty blast cabinet

Well done Dave.

Another early coupe up and running and on the road is always great news.

It looks a very nice car.
