Last tour

Postby Spectatohead » 16 Oct 2011 22:13

The Portland Triumph Owners had their last tour of the year today. 3 wedges total showed up. I'm not sure the total number of Triumphs. Some people drove their "other" cars. 60 members had breakfast at Camp 18 which is the site of an old logging camp 18 miles from the ocean in the Pacific Coast mountain range. It was 70 miles to get there but a group of us Washingtonians drove back through the coast range to Longview, Washington. The drive back was about 105 miles but way more interesting than the drive out. Lots of turns marked 25 or 35 mph but quite fun at the 55 mph speed limit. The car is running great and I still have over half a tank after 175 miles.

Thanks for the compliment. The car still has a long way to go but I'm happy with how it is progressing, if only progress were faster. I still have to do the whole interior, clean up the engine bay, and redo the front suspension.
