Yeah, thanks Marsu. We must have found the same site.

Quote from Paisley Freight is $230 wheels only and $350 with tires. Giving a grand total of $550 to $650 for wheels and tires. Also have to add in import tax, I guess.
So this is definately a viable option. And I won't be stuck with the same wheels everyone else has. Now I just have to decide on a style and with or without tires. And get the wheel nuts.

Thanks for all the info. This forum is great! Gotta love how people on the other side of the world can help you out![:D]

Just another thing I've come across. I was checking to see if there are any regulations about importing tires and there seems to be alot of confusion in this area. It seems that any tire imported would have to have the DOT certification stamp to be used on the road. Even if its the same tire I can buy down the street, if it doesn't have the stamp its illegal. It's not like they can prove that they will be used on the road. If they where for race track use then DOT cert doesn't matter.

I would guess that tires suplied to other countries don't have this stamp. Probably have their own. Please fellas no need to go check! No one could say if customs cares about this or not, so I'm going to just go the safe route and get wheels only.

If someone were to ship a couple sets of wheels into the US, I'm sure there is a market for them. (I know I'd be interested in a set). I had a deal set up with a wheel manufacturer here in the states, they would drill new wheels to our lug pattern, but I needed to place a minimum order for 5 sets, but had no takers. I think the price was $550.00 for set of 4.
