i do exactly the same, bought mine and needed to get started on the welding but bought oil filter and plugs 1st, and to the derission of my wife and one son am starting to take out and re trim some of the interior, they said whats the point while the roof leaks. told them, just coz trimming it does not mean its going back in yet, and i want the new hood to be the last thing i buy for the car, the finishing touch, they still dont get it......

Because once the carpets are in you won't be able to see the holes in the floor?

now we all know the carpets are to soak up the water.... or is that just in my car???
