My TR7

I finally got around to getting some pics of my TR7 loaded onto my computer. When you are looking at her I know she looks rough but I think I can get her back on the road in the next couple of years. The dent in the back is from a guy who had no insurance and didn't understand the concept of looking at what is in front of you as you drive down the road. The dent in the front fender happened at about the exact moment my dad realized there was something wrong with the brakes on his truck.

You certainly got a lotta work to do there!The wheels look kewl tho'!
Are you going to do the restoration?Any probs.someone here been there

Will make a great car when finnished, a couple of battle scars but all reparible. As Paul says any problems you know where the answers can be found.

Hey 1980DHC!!! I'm glad you said a couple years! I'm presently on that plan too....and I have had it for nearly 4 years. It'll get there someday. We are in the process of buying a house so money is going to be even more budgeted, but progress is being made all the time. If our offer for the first house falls thru, we have a backup house in mind...the neighbor has a TR6 in his driveway. Wonder what he'll say when Claire is unloaded off her trailer.[:D] Oh and your car is indeed a project but take your time. I find working on it a big stress reliever.......

Hey Paul you I agree that the wheels are cool, the only problem is that one of the front ones has a flat spot from doing battle with a pothole, and a couple have some curb rash. The neat thing about the wheels is that the two center caps on the car have a sticker on them that has the snake emblem and the word Cobra just like the one that Carrol Shelby used. As for me saying it will be on the road in a couple of years, well I am from Alabama and we use the term "couple" to indicate anything that is more than one so a couple of years could be two or twenty LOL. Oh yeah her name is Ghini, as in Lamborghini, because the first day I ever drove her to school a friend said it looked like a minature Lambo.

I just located a Buick Grand National engine near me for $500 it has all accesories and wiring and was running when pulled. It is really tempting

Don't do it - don't change the engine. You'll just make more work for yourself. Stick to the basics and get it back on the road as easily as you can. Once it's back on track then is the time to think about engine conversions.

'unwashed' think its a product of the 'prancing stallion'!-

Thanks for the opinions about the Grand National motor. John I have given serious thought to just putting her back on the road but I spent four years driving her in stock form and the next 6 driving a turbo Eagle Talon and and I got to say I am leaning more to putting a few more horses under the bonnet.

Holt-if I can be of assistance,I have another tail light lens I can send you if you'd like(the housing you have should be OK,but if not,I have one of those too) I bought a nice set to replace the ones on my car,and my old ones are OK,though I think one had a hairline crack in it,if you aren't too particular about it. Let me know,we can swap email and you can advise where to send it to. Let's git-r-done![:D]

Exept from where it's been bumped, I don't see a lot of rust...good thing. Lots of used spare bits available here in the states if you know where to look. Good luck with the project. Glad to see more being saved.
