This console to dash seal, zxc440, does not seem to fit. While the general shape looks like it should fit, there doesn't seem to be a good way to install it without gluing it. And even then there is not enough of the center console to glue it to. It is suppose to take care of the gap between the lens cover and the center console.

Also, the lens cover, xkc2902, comes in two styles even though only one is shown. The one shown here fits my '76 car. The newer style in my '79 car is not shown. That one fits over the top of the edges of the center console so it does not require a seal. It looks much more finished.

Has anyone fit this seal

Hi Nick,

You're right, the seal isn't used with the later fitted centre console, but it is with the early one. I have both and it is glued in and sits right on the top of the edge.

And as you say you could leave the seal out and fit a later lens cover, it would be a straight swap.
