Another Variation on Steering Shudder

Postby RJS » 20 Nov 2014 14:14

In the past my car had a sever case of the steering shudders. Over time with new bushings, alignment, and tire balancing, it is MUCH improved.

There is still one instance where I can get it, and I am curious if anyone can explain why.

If I am in the "shudder zone" (45-55 mph), and the road has a gradual left curve, I can get the shudder. Once it straightens out, it goes away immediately.

Any ideas why this happens?

Bit of play in the wheel bearings when you load them one way?
