TR Ownership after a 20 year gap

Finally convinced my wife to let me have a new toy. So after a gap of 20 odd years since my last one I've a X reg silver DHC.

It does needs some TLC but a good solid car. First problem will be the headlights which stopped popping up when I try to flash the lights . Rest of the issues are just routine maintenance, brakes, shocks, bushes etc...

Flash not working? Probably just the contacts in the steering column housing not making contact when you pull the stalk back. I had this 30 years ago with mine and I just played about adjusting them with a screwdriver until they worked properly. I didn't need to take anything apart to do this on my 1977 car but let's see what other recommend before jumping in.

The lights flash, they just don't pop-up when I try. The main light switch is a bit iffy, as is the fog light one - hopefully just need a good clean.

First order with RobSport went in at the weekend, no doubt the first of many.

Good idea to clean all contacts in the lighting circuit....better idea....clean all on contacts in all circuits.
