So if the emissions labels were put on in the UK, rather than in the States, the term TR8 must have been in use earlier on in 1977.

I think you may be right about the homologation Paul.

ACN0025 was built in Apr77. Correction...The BMIHT certificate that I had misfiled for ACN0025 was actually for ACN01080, a later (August 77) built car, but called TR7V8 by BMIHT.

As for the cars in the brochure, I will dig out my copy and start a new thread on it. Sorry for the highjack Christopher.

Ted Schumacher owns both the brochure cars. The red car is ACN1 and the blue car is ACN2. We will all be able to take a ride in ACN1 in the DVD. One of the nice things about making the Triumph DVDs is we've got to ride and drive some very famous and important Triumphs.

Just found my Coupe brochure. ACN1 was originally Carmine code CAA, which is the color shown on the brochure. It was repainted at some point and now looks Flamenco (orange). Both ACN1 and the Astral blue ACN2 have beige interiors. ACN3 (a yellow car) was used for the interior green checked seats shots.
