Has anyone any experience with the high torque type starter or is a rebuilt original one as good?

I put one on my STAG and on my TR8. They work great.

Hi,

IF Rover V8 powered fit a late model Range Rover starter motor of a 4 or 4.6 they are every bit as effective as high torque starter motors and smaller. They will fit all Rover V8's

Got one on my Sprint powered TR7. Works very well and it's much smaller and lighter.

I got one on my Spider, works fine, mind you the old starter did too until a misdiagnosed starter relay connection caused me to change it. It is lighter, I would go to it only if your old one isn't working.

I have one coming over next week with a family member. Thought it best to get them to carry it rather than spend all the money on p&p. I have big hopes for it and cannot wait till it is on and working.

I used a hi-torque and loved it. However, it's sounds like a
Japanese car when it starts.
