Ken, no rumors but I surely wouldn't be surprised if some were planning on going. The PTOA does have a FaceBook page and a Yahoo discussion group. I'll ask there.

Well I may actually be in for this event. Tough to do for me due to a 4 year old and an infant at home but I have suggested to the wife that we can visit her Aunt who lives about 30 minutes away from Dobson so I may have a chance. So far she's mildly intrigued. [:)]

I'd love to drive the car down (about 10 hours) but since the kids would be coming it's probably just easier to tow it than drive 2 separate cars.

Merv, I'll still be somewhat limited for time to work on the Wedge since it lives in Oregon. The advantage of it being in Oregon is that North Carolina is "only" 3,000 miles away instead of nearly 6,000 miles! Hope to get some work done on the TR6 and the MGA as well with all my newfound time.

Jim, I'll have to check the PTOA Facebook page or Yahoo discussion. I'm figuring on taking about 8 or 9 days getting there and a couple of weeks getting back to Oregon.

Craig, Hope to see you there. You could probably get one of our mates from the other side of the pond to drive your car down to Dobson.

Looking to schedule a dinner with the TWOA on Thursday night
We have organized some drag racing on Friday night at a local drag strip, separate from the VTR. All are welcome to join.

<b>Tuesday - </b>Boston group to leave early Tuesday morning (3-4am). Drive through the day down to Dobson, NC.
<b>Wednesday - </b>Relax during the day. Tech inspections for events. Welcome dinner put on by VTR 6pm-10pm
<b>Thursday -</b> Vintage Hill Climb during the day. Dinner with TWOA, location TBD.
<b>Friday -</b> Car Show during the day. Drag Racing from 5pm at Elk Creek Dragway
<b>Saturday -</b> Auto-x during the day. Awards banquet and dinner at night hosted by VTR
<b>Sunday -</b> Head home

I finally registered for the VTR Nationals. I'm either getting bolder or stupider. I'm going to try to do the ATDI in Tacoma, the ABFM in Portland, and then drive to North Carolina for the VTR Nationals.

I've about got the car ready, I hope. New exhaust system, new heater matrix, new (bigger) brakes, new (mostly) interior, new steering column bushing, new hoses and belts. New stereo going in today. Leaving Portland on September 1.
