I have them on my Saab, or at least one. The others are Vredestein which came on the car. Hit a massive pothole in the winter and split the N/S front. The Vredestein was only down to about 5-6mm but the rubber was shot (they had been fitted about 2 years), even the tyre fitter remarked that they were in poor shape with cracks around the tread.
I fitted the Avon (tho' much bigger than TR7 ones) as it was a bit cheaper and I would not use the Vredesteins again. Then my son told me that the Avons were the 'in' tyre with the boy racers at the moment and performed well in all conditions. Can't say I have had a problem with it, even hit another pothole and survived. That's life in Kent, KCC take no responsibility for road repairs!
