Anyone recognise this picture I stumbled upon during a Google search?

Hope the driver got four wheels back on earth safely.

It looks as if the top name on the wing is Fred Gallagher; but I've no idea where!

Its TR Drivers club member Paul Hunter at the special TR7V8 rally at Goodwood a couple of years ago. To gain second place Paul was going so fast that he crossed the line on 2 wheels. On the last run he was 8 seconds behind Steve Hall but actually made up enough time to beat him by 2 seconds. There were 6 ex works car on the day.

Do not wish to hijack this post. May be the answer can be moved.

John 215 tried to PM you, It failed.

On the White Car "BEB 721V" does any one know what car or setup was used to convert to this style of headlights? I have seen a few pictures on this forum of this being done. Can't seem to find any details of how to do this conversion.

It is just my opinion that this style makes the TR7 look more sexy.

Thanks

Hi Dale,

The car was run by TR Enterprises, maybe worth dropping them an email to see if they could provide more info. If they do, please share.Does give a very clean look have to admit.

I remember Funky Gibbon Rallying having something similar back in the day. They weren't so flush and possibly used headlamps off a Vauxhall Chevette.

Mike Gibbon used a Chevette set up, same as UYH638S as driven by Tony Pond.

I must admit that I am a bit torn to tell you the truth. I do love the pop up lights on the 7's and think they look great when they work well. However, they also look great when they do not and say one goes up or down before the other one. However, from looking at the pictures above, I really do like the look of the lights here. Not too good close up, but from a distance they look great. There is only one answer, I am going to have to convince the wife that I should have two 7's, one for each set of lights lol.

I would love to know more about them, so if you do fine out Dale, [lease do post.

All

Have not received a reply from TR Enterprises. But I have been doing some searching on my own. What i came up with is in the attach link. I have found these in both the UK and USA. What do you think? Make a lower cover to fill the space and a top as pictured in the TRenterprise car.

The dimension on this pod will fit within the confines of the of the headlight area as well as give good site line for the headlight bulbs.

Just a thought [:D][^]
