After doing my clutch/gearbox refit I was going crazy with all of the noises in the car; first the louder transmission noise from a hard gearbox mount, then an exhaust leak, exhaust rattles, heat shields buzzing, the engine restraint cable too loose and slapping something on acceleration, screws rattling loose in the dash. After a few weeks of tightening and crawling around most of the nasty noises are gone! I finally gave up on the heat shield for the catalytic converter and pulled it off until I can get some cracks tack welded.
Now that all those sounds are gone I can still hear the rods in both door latch systems jiggling around. But I might be able to just ignore those.[:)]
