I think we have to be thank full to the moderators.... I never knew it was that bad!

I think may be registration should now have.... say a two way system... are you an owner... yes no.... if an owner.. couple of simple questions ... size of standard wheels .... make of clocks etc.

none owners tell you why they are interested?...

may help slow down the spam

If these levels of spam are going to continue I don't see there is any choice other than to make new members sign up via the moderators. It would be far less work for them overall.
Lots of other forums do something like that so it will not deter anyone who is genuine.

So we had no other choice but to lock down temporarily the sign up page.
We will leave it locked for a tad and then see how it goes.
All your comment are taken into consideration.
We will now take the time to look into the situation and hopefully make a decision rapidly.

I agree this step was necessary given the extent of recent spam.

I wonder if it is possible to amend the message under "Not a member" to provide a contact email address for new members to contact one of the mods to request membership?


If so you could setup the email address forum.triumphtr7.com@gmail.com. so that all the mods could access it and deal with any new (legitimate) membership requests.
