Leather dash cover kit

Postby darrellw » 02 May 2014 14:13

Has anyone fit this kit on their Wedge?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEATHER-DASH-DA ... 6f&vxp=mtr

I'm considering it. They have confirmed they can make it for LHD, and I'm waiting to hear to make sure it includes a cover for the section over the instrument panel.

I've bought and fitted some of their stuff in my MGF, in my experience they posted fairly quick and the quality has been good.

I didn't know the did stuff for the TR, it will take careful fitting by the look of it.

I have some of their green leather stuff in the MGF, it's not very dark, sort of mid to dark.

That could look very nice Darrell. Let us know how it turns out. If it looks as good as the pic I'd do it also.

There was a TR8 at the ATDI in Steveston in 2007. If had a leather dash but as I remember it it had different stitching. I was under the impression it was a custom job (the owner spent $30,000 0n the car). It was very well done and looked very good. Probably the thing that impressed me the most. (He sold it later to some one in Washington State for $15,000). I haven't seen it since. I would like to see that kit in person.

I especially like the center console covers.
I've never like the look of the plastic console. I may just order myself one of those.
Thanks for posting this idem.
I've already covered the dash and instrument visor with black leatherette (no stitching) don't see instrument visor listed.

Why didn't they just say that
I asked him about all kinds of things
Guess they do a lot

They will also do a different color stitching
Since they didn't have my green leather I thought of doing black w/green stitching

They don't show any of the Wedge ones in gray, but they have other kits in a gray leather that looks like a good match for the later gray painted dash. I would probably go with that if I decide to go for it.

Here's the black with green:
