The manual says they are 8mm. I had no problem getting one at local industrial fastener store although it had an Allen head (which is better as you can get a better grip on it). Any one who undoes bolts and nuts should have a metric/SAE tap and die set to chase them. You can get a complete set for about $45 on sale. Mine has both 8mm and 9 mm sizes.

Is the stud you arrowed a locating point for the factory jack?.There are 4 of them around the end s of the sills.Steve..

Isn't that why you got the lift?

Also, there should be a metal cover over the side rail, with the battery cable inside. At least that is how mine is.

Perhaps it is a TR7 vs. TR8 thing (your car started life as a TR7 right?). I'll see if I can move the carpet without messing it up. Used to be easy until I stuck it down good.

Though my 8 part came from a totaled TR8 and every part associated with it was transferred.
At least that is what I have been told.
But I guess not everything
Couldn't figure they would string that #4 wire just under the carpet
Gonna check the body parts books

Looked through the TRF parts book and don't see any mention of a cable cover .

I'll try to take a peek today. As I recall, it is an extra layer welded to the body shell, not something you can remove. So it might not have a separate listing.
