'Var' the Seven spotted

Check out 'Var the Seven' [:D]
I know 'Var' was in a bit a of a state when I first got it [:0] and there were many hours spend by me and the next owner to bring 'Var' to look this good, but I do object to be referred to as a 'lady' [;)]

Wow, that is your VAR? I looked at that listing yesterday & thought it looked a nice car, the penny had not dropped that it was VAR!

Just goes to show what can be done with time, skill & effort. It must be quite satisfying for you to see her looking so good!

Wow, some work has gone into that, I saw it when it was at the last owners place in Kings Lynn. It'll be interesting to see if it reaches that price.
Goes to show really, who'd have thought that the rot box you had back then would end up looking so great. Certainly an antidote to all those cars being broken up.

82 Triumph TR7 Convertible

LOT 1

Subjected to a restoration to include a full professional bare metal re-spray with anti-rust treatment by Rustbuster. Overhauled electrics, new hood, cover bag and tonneau. New carpets fitted and trim renovated. Local lady owner since 2010. Some history and bills plus in excess of 20 expired MOT certificates to back up the mileage of 80,800. Fitted with K&N filters, spot lights, Spax adjustable rear shock absorbers, Kenlow electric fan, TR8 discs and calipers, new alternator and radiator. MoT'd to May 2014.

'Var' is certainly a transformation [:D]
I saw the listing as well and didn't really take much notice as it was above my line of pricing, it was the background building that took my eye (It looked like a local dealer yard, but wasn't) then the first 3 letters of the plate attracted my attention (I wonder how close that is to my old 'Var'?) I had to go back and look at the old photos of Var before I was convinced, (same plate number [:0])it was my old 7, I thought Mike much have had enough of 'Var'
It is certainly good to see that all my pre-rust disposing wasn't all in vain [8D]
Who said you can't make a hamburger out of pig.......[^]

My wife said to me 'is that our old TR7, will 'Ruby' look that good? She will look better I said [;)]

Is three classics enough or too much? What with his Bond and his Herald, I think Var might have been a classic too many. Also, the Bond and the Herald will be easier to drive with lighter clutches and steering. Mike is a perfectionist though and he certainly seems to carried on the great work that you started.

I just hope Mike is ok, I aren't able to make contact now as my last PC died and I lost most of the emails.
I did try and put Mike and his wife off when they first turned up to view the car, but he seemed determined to have it. It wasn't till after they bought it that he told me that it was because of the work that had been done, and that it was unfilled ie no filler, and of course 'The Best TR7/8 Forum on the net' allowing me to post the link [^]
I have 3 Classics, the wife says 3 too many!!!!

I agree with everything you say. I have three classics, one non runner but two that are post 78 so need road tax and the like. I have concentrated on the 205 for sprinting this year until my heart decided to "play up" and as a result the 7V8 has taken a back seat.
Finance has meant that it will have to wait to be taxed, insured and moted till next month. Is three too much or am I just impatient? I mean the kids don't really need to eat this month....[:p]

It's a 260Z, 34,000 from new, 4 owner.

Totally standard and unmolested, the TR6 has a full race steel engine, c220bhp on 45s.
