There was a series of articles in TR Driver about 5 years ago that gave all the dimensions. If you are lucky someone will be able to find a copy and email you the dimensions.

Cheers

Howard

Have you given any thought to using a TR8 decal instead? I always considered the laurel leaf design to be tacky.

Agreed. I used the "TR7" decal after a recent respray on the yellow car. I now have one of each and will change the brown car one as well after it is resprayed.

I think the laurel looks great, your positioning is spot on Stevie.

Don't do it that way

measure from top ( near bonnet) to bottom (near bumper)

get the 50% mark do the same with the width i did it from edge of the light panel

that gave me the center do the same with the laurel.

look at this photo again and you see what i mean.

Steve - is the decal just the wreath & "Triumph"? or is their clear decal keeping it all together that stays on the car after you remove the backing?

It's still sandwiched between the front and backing sheets, but as far as I can tell it's the laurel only, many small pieces, not one big transparent sticker.

If that is what you meant.

Stevie, I got the meaning of he 4 Marks on the masking tape, but yours does look biased to the top (bonnet) line.

May be just an optical illusion!

must be optical illusion as it is exactly in the middle.

Hi,

The original position of the laurel isn't in the midlle but slightly more upwards, I've got the original (Leyland) measurements at home, If I don't forget I will search them in the evening and email you a copy tomorow.

Greetings, J.

I have sourced the definitive booklet detailing the correct decal positions, should be with me within the next couple of days. However, it seems that these were 'hand-applied' in the factory and no two are exactly the same anyway, so don't worry!

Hi,

had a look in my shed and found the article but it says that measurements have been taken from different cars and none of them was the same, according to the folder I have there is no documentation from the factory how to position the nose decal. Also, the folder I have only speaks of the TR8 decal.

Greetings, J.
