Do you know the part number and suppliers for the triumph tr-7 thermostat with the foot with a rating of 160 or 170 degrees?

I've ordered with the right part number and got the wrong one. I've phoned requesting the one with the foot and they sent me the one with the foot. This was with one of the TR7 specialists. Rock Auto have both listed. If you order the one with the foot according to the pictures you may get the right one. Don't know for sure as I haven't gone that route but as you can see from the picture ID the picture is from Rock Auto so they do show/have the right on (but also the "others").

If you could get a 170 degree thermostat that doesn't mean your car will run at 170 degrees. That's the temp it opens at (170 degrees etc.) it has nothing to do with keeping your car running cooler, that is determined by the efficiency of your radiator/fan/efficiency of your motor (timing/air fuel mixture/etc.) Proper coolant mixture helps, usually 50/50 mixture although the MGTC people (which have cooling problems) seem to think running it with higher water concentration is better )believe they said 85/15 mixture is ideal. Don't know about that, seems they are delving into the black arts a bit rather than science.[:p]

That means the owner has moved/altered the position/deleted the picture so the address the owner originally posted points to a picture that is no longer at that location for those various reasons.
