Seat Foam

Postby kermit » 04 Feb 2014 11:54

Any recommendations on how to reattach the foam seat back to the side panels? The original tape has ripped.

Since you have gone this far have you thought about fitting new foams ?
On this side of the pond they are about $75 each

Other than that Gaffer Tape is an option.

When using gaffer tape (duct tape over here), spraying with trim adhesive will help it stick to the foam. You can also pack any tears with some loose cotton batting before taping to build them back up.

I considered using duct tape but there wasn't much bond strength to the foam. Spray adhesive on the tape may be the way to go.
