Okay, in the first place, let me tell you boys those are not comfortable shoes, no matter what the occasion. Second, with her head on the floor, the result is a flat spot on the back side of the coiffure and that's a bad thing. Thirdly, will she be wiping her hand prints off the paint?

It is not only the shoes Mildred, look at all the money she is wasting on cloths. She'll be getting her allowance cut until she learns to be more economical with material.

Still I reckon I could rehabilitate her given a month or 2 alone on a desert island with her.

The car is actually quite nice, in this age of dramatic body pressings done for nothing but dramatics. I'd be happy to use it as a shopping trolley.

Going by the big blob of what appears to be grease on her chest, I'd say she's been doing some maintenance on her TR-7, I would say she's laying down as she has just been reaching under the car for a dropped bolt but couldn't reach it so she's in the process of getting back up to go get the magnet on a stick!
Obliviously the reason she isn't wearing many clothes is she didn't want them to get dirty, and those shoes are high so she can reach into the engine bay better!

You know it make sense!

Hi,

This was a reasonably famous car ' back in the day '. Built by Ray Bennis.I met Ray at a custom car show back about 1980 at custom car show in London, poss Ally Pally but cant remember.Even back then I was a huge fan of 'our ' cars and anything to do with them.

It was first modified from almost new with a mural job and as was the thing back then was called Trafalgar.

The body was then remodelled and once again painted and gained the name ' Old Glory 'It even appeared on TV a couple of time's at this time.

A couple of years later she became ' Seventh Heaven ' as shown by Craig. Ray the sold the car on in 82 and it disappeared a year or so later, unless anyone knows anything different -

Looks a little heavy at the rear end (both). I'm not saying this is a bad thing. Just too bad somebody graffitied the picture.

Very cool looking car. Thanks for those other pictures. So many different incarnations. I like the dark blue version with the rear quarter panel vents and it still has the swage line. Could due without the fastback panels though. The rear window line is one of my favorite features on a TR7. I love the magazine blurb "before that just another ugly old TR7". Awe come on...

I wonder if it still exists. Could be sitting in some widows barn somewhere.

Loads of pictures and information, and this:

Seventh Heaven was featured in quite a few magazines, as seen below, but Ray had little time to bask in the glory of his now rather beautiful TR; all of the expense in getting the car to this peak of perfection had taken it's toll on his wallet. Ray was unfortunately forced to sell the car in 1982 to a work colleague's brother who ran a car dealership in East London for a knock-down price.
It then promptly vanished; the car's road tax ran out in 1983 and has never been renewed.

Now Ray was rather attached to his TR7, as you've guessed; selling it was a wrench and well... he wants it back. Trouble is, where do you start looking for a car that vanished 30 year ago? Well this my friends, is the $64,000 question and quite frankly I don't have the answer. But, hopefully with the help of the modified car community (and posting this feature), we can spread the word and maybe, just maybe the gospel will reach the right person with the right answer. That may well be a stretch; for all we know the car has long been destroyed and this story doesn't have a happy ending.
But I'm just willing to bet that the car is sitting tucked away in someone's garage, waiting to get reacquainted with it's former owner and wow a whole new generation of car fans.
Ray really will be in seventh heaven if that happens.

Yes, the car, but what we all are more concerned with is the poor, shivering model with the lack of couture. Shouldn't it be more important to take up a collection for her new wardrobe? Really, what's more relevant?

I think she's somewhat overdressed as she is, particularly with the strategically-placed Bowler hat.

And let's not lose sight of the fact that she's now well into her fifties, and more than likely prone to catching colds!

That's a hat? I agree more with our friend Cobber that it's a grease stain from the patented Triumph anti-rust system located in the gooey gearbox mount. Either that, or a form of censorship so as to avoid offending the Vicar.
