OK,

According to the schematics, the wiring is there for all cars. Purple wire in line with the Boot Lamp Switch wiring, the White/Purple wire from the radio (look under the rubber mat on the right hand side of the boot for the ribbon cable) and a back ground wire.

Well I had a rummage in the boot of the TR8 today & guess what I found behind the right hand boot trim? A connector with wiring just like Clay describes. It is a female 3 way T shape plug, the wiring for the boot lamp loops off it. If you could find a matching male plug then a very neat way to wire your electric aerial.

Now why did BL put the connector on the opposite side from the aerial location?
