The wiring is there for an automatic aerial. The aerial goes up when the radio is switched on and down when it is switched off, IF the dealer install the correct radio, i.e. Jaguar.
When I changed to a better radio, the internal connection did not work with the aerial. I installed a DPDT rocker switch in the heater console, got power from the cigarette lighter and connected it to one of the center connectors on the switch. I then connect a ground wire to the other center connector. Now comes the tricky part. Run two wires to the aerial motor and the tag ends to the upper or lower connectors of the switch. Cut two short pieces of wire and connect them to the some terminals that you just used. Now, CRISS-CROSS the wires and connect them to the two empty terminals on the switch.
When you push the the switch one way a positive charge goes through one of the wires and if you push it the other way, the power is reversed.
