My old TR7

Postby Graham Robertson » 26 Sep 2013 14:45

I was alerted by a friend that a TR7 was for sale at a local car dealership. It turned out to be my old car!

The car was taken as a trade in and for sale at what I considered a bargain price. Guess who now owns two TR7's?

Thanks for all the comments. Took my "new old" car to a club meeting tonight. All tucked up in the garage now:

It's like the story of why the kid just had to have TWO cookies. He said it was because he had TWO hands.

You garage is giving me claustrophobia. I hope the hooks don't come out of the wall and let that bicycle land on the car.

nice buy [8]!!

Guess the benifits of buying an carbon copy of the exact same car won't alert the "swambo" about the new purchase right away ......

But if I were you I'd figure out a nice comfy area in that garage where you could sleep for the next couple years when she does find out [;)][;)][;)][;)]

Do you find placing the advert on Car & Classic brings in many enquires ?

My DHC is going on the Market & was wondering how you got on with the advert - my reservations is the amount of Text you can write & number of photos.
Would only put it on E-Bay as a Classified Ad as bidding is full of no hopers pressing the button & fees to place the advert are quite high on flee bay but has good coverage so swings & roundabouts.

What did you clean the bumpers with as they have come up great [?]

Hi Graham,
Good luck with the sale - 3 calls in a day is really good especially you being way up North. C&C is quite popular now.

Use to spend the summers up on my Uncles farm near Huntley & learn't to drive tractors & more [}:)] on the great roads up there although only 15 at the time.

So come on what are your bumpers cleaned with as I have been looking behind the Cider in your garage & haven't seen the magic formula [:p]

I'm confused. Did you buy your old car back, then put it up for sale again?

Hi Paul,

Yes, that's correct. I got it at a good price - too good to pass up! I've done a few minor repairs (including new drivers side window regulator, a new rear light (old one was cracked), fixed the boot light, fitted the cardboard covers for the rear lights, etc and given it a good clean and polish! I really only need one DHC!
