The time has come of my Blue DHC to get a new home........

Well carport that is.........I decided it was time to give it a bit more protection
I should have it finished soon :-)

Looks great. Lower that little window a bit, & you'll be able to sit on the throne, & gaze at your real love.

Guess the building regulations are much more slack over there....
- here we would never be allowed to have a structure like this within 3 meters of the property line !

As a lot of properties over in Pomgolia are very small blocks, there'd be nowhere to build on some of them if they weren't allowed to build with in 3m of the property line! [:D]

The small block thing is happening here too.

We have a new "satellite" city to cater to 50,000 homes only about 12Km from us, [I'll have to get out soon, I couldn't stand the congestion].

My daughter wanted to have a look, after a fencing contractor we know was complaining some houses are all ready built so close together their roofs are only 200mm apart. He was asked to build some fences between built houses, & can not use any type of auger, even a hand one, in the confined space.

We could not believe it in Oz, houses so close a broad shouldered man would have to turn sideways to get between them, before a fence goes in. A powerfully built company director type, would not fit even sideways.

The roads are so narrow, that with a car parked on both sides a truck may not fir through.

This is such stupidity in an area with miles of open paddocks all round it.

I was going to say, Ron, that 3 mm in UK is like 3m in Canada is like 3 km. in Australia but it looks like that's changing even there. Personally, I like where I am, were the houses are 100m or so apart, you can hear the kids crying when they fall down, the dogs wailing when they're left alone but not what TV show they're watching, even when they have the windows open in this warm weather.[:p]

The roof will be the last thing to go on I have some pointing to do toilet waste stack to replace and some painting all on the side of the house to do first....

What you mean this one.....

I've never heard them called boogie vans before but, seems appropriate.
Over here there either day vans or conversion vans.

I picked it up after quite a search, it originally came from Alabama

Not sure about hemi..... I always thought they were V8s so I guess not as its the 3.9 V6 fuel injected Holley
