Never had electric windows on any of my cars, I guess you can't miss what you've never had.

Just about every car made today has electric windows. My '94 Ford F150 and the TR8 are the only cars I have without them. Even my son's '99 Honda Civic has them. I can reach the crank on the passenger side of the TR8 without too much difficulty. The pickup truck is another story, even my long arms aren't long enough to reach the far side.

I can, too, when stopped. But it is when I don't think ahead and am cruising down the highway and think that it would be nice to have that window down that it is a problem.

Not the biggest problem in the world, though.

Quite clever, some subtle improvements achieved at the same time as cutting costs I feel. The boot liner reminds me of the underside of the original moulded carpet. supercass

The ones in my '8 was the EW part of a couple of related kits sold by Moss Europe some 10-15 years ago.
Related = they could be interconnected if one wanted it so: The central locking could close the door glasses when locking.
The key-less entry could order the central locking to raise the door glasses, and the alarm could do the same when auto-activating (as a double security).
As a matter of fact I think it was only the remote boot unlock that didn't communicate fully with the rest, only with the key-less entry...

It's just a matter of getting Moss to have the kits remanufactured again... [:D]
It was a wee bit costly at the time, so they'd make even more money nowadays I guess...

John I can remember many years ago reading an article in a car magazine about this car, it was a time when car alarms were switched on and off by an external key switch and there was a photo of the rear of the car and next to the number plate was one of these keyswitches. Even then I thought it was a bad thing to cut quite a big hole in such a special car.
It would be good to see if its been removed and how good a repair has been made.
I have got the magazine in the attic somewhere, but not sure where!

Cheers,
Dave
