Hi John,

Great clip, even better the fact one of 'our' cars won and very well deserved, as was the car of the show the sexy Italia [8D], as for 'Shouldnt Be On The Road Winner ', what can I say

Speaking for myself, would be great to see the Pro Drive track stuff, had to work so couldnt make it [:(]

I for one really enjoyed your video footage of the prize-giving, sadly I had dissapeared by then as I had to get back for my nephews birthday party.

I was really sad I couldn't make the Saturday and as ever I'd like to see your video on that.

John please don't take any offence from our own thoughts for the day!

Sometimes a hobby becomes too serious - life doesn't revolve around a TR7/8 for most of us.

Leave the video up John and put any others you have as well please.

When the Italia was in the ring earlier in the day I was with Jim Johnson, John Lucas and my Brother and everyone was quite taken by how beautiful it looked. A deserved car of the day.

BTW has anyone got a picture of when we had the TR7/8 line up in the ring at the end of the day?

No - we were all sat in our cars! Actually I think John L might surprise us in his next batch of pictures from the day, I am sure I saw him taking some.

It was a great day out, with some wonderful cars to look at, & good to catch up with all our friends from the club. And as I had never been in the Museum before, it was great to have a look round in there too.

Any video of my old barge howling round would be nice to see John.
Such videos are quite rare of my car, so your efforts are appreciated.

I don't do many shows, but i have never seen so many Triumphs or Wedges together. The man with the Grinnall on the TR Register stand said to me he thought Wedges were slowly increasing in value. It's only demand that does that. And Mk2 Escorts are now silly money.

Phil's V8 looked great as I hung on to him in the TR Register Coke Car through the twisty bits!

On which note, Saturday proved if ever proof were needed that even if you drive a 4 speed Speke built FHC in standard trim you can have some real fun out on a track.

The TR Register Coke Car spent nearly 4 hours on track while I was giving high speed rides to members. Although down on power in the straights compared to the 8 and 6 cylinder cars it easily out-performed all but the hottest tuned TR's in the corners and provided enough balance and feedback to give real confidence to drift and steer with the throttle through the quicker corners and enough precision to place the car perfectly through the tight chicanes.

Sure, push it too hard and you catch a handful of terminal oversteer but it showed undoubtedly that even the most standard of early TR7s is a very capable and most of all fun machine! Great advert for the marque! <i>(and that's coming from a Grinnall pilot) </i> [:D]
