Great photos again John. How many nice cars? Quite a few.
I finally got to meet Mr Clancy and partner (wife?) on Saturday.

Great pictures as always John. Can't wait for the rest.
Nice to catch up with everyone who attended and what a fantastic turnout of Standards and Triumphs. Sorry if I missed saying goodbye to anyone.
One the way back I was passed by the the yellow and orange P reg V8 cars. A great spectacle and they sounded superb (sorry didn't catch your names).

I reckon there were only about 40 or 50 wedges there which is a bit of a disaster really. More coupes than dropheads visible so it's good that people are now cherishing fixed head. But we really could have done with showing the rest of the Triumph clubs the TR7 and TR8 is a sought after car and make it obvious many of us are preserving them. Sadly we didn't do that. But despite the dearth of our favourite cars it was a great show. Chunk's V8 around the Prodrive circuit was a sight (and sound) to behold as was the other red V8 driven by the Auckland brothers. Guess who got video of them both???

Loads of great cars and a great couple of days. A shame so many of you missed it all. But at least you can see the ten award winning cars including John Wood in TR7 Sprint SJW 550S... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTqfHbFIo5w&feature=youtu.be

I thought that there was a good showing of wedges of all types standard to very modified.
In comparison to the last big event ten years ago we are down on numbers - but I think the economics of the time are having a big effect on what people do, where as we wouldn't think about what it cost a few years ago - charging around the country and using a whole tank of fuel (as I did yesterday from brim full to having the orange light on for the last ten miles of my run) does make a difference.

Hey ho - hope to see a really good gathering at Billing in a few weeks time!

Was quietly enjoying seeing the great pictures & appreciating the efforts the guys, who take the time to post them for us all to see, until I came to the below comment.

Don't think 50 wedges in one place is a failure & you don't have to blow your own whistle to show people, TR7's are being preserved.

Other Triumph Clubs won't loose any sleep if all TR7's rusted away, as I certainly don't think, when I see 200 Stags at an event - oh my goodness they are sought after - you get more reaction from multi make events when Joe public ( who usually attend events by paying at the gate to see more than rows of Triumphs ) sees a TR7 amongst the rows MG's Mini's & Moggie's.

Some people don't have the luxury of being able to have a free day off at the weekend or want to spend 4 hours there & 4 hours back to sit in a carpark.

Sometimes a hobby becomes too serious - life doesn't revolve around a TR7/8 for most of us.

Although I only have TR7/8s and Minis, I enjoy seeing all classic cars. The best thing about STAR 90 was that as well as seeing a wide variety of cars there were also many TRs, including the Italia, my favourite Triumph.

Great piccies John. Shame there weren't more wedges for you to snap! I was going to put a video of the track day together for you all but I won't be doing that now. Sorry. I will leave the ten best video up there though despite the negative response. Let me know if it's crap and I'll take it down.
