Croxley Green Today ( picture heavy )

Postby john 215 » 12 May 2013 17:16

Hi,

Took a drive down the M1 and M25 lane's to this free show today, you just throw some cash into a charity bucket as you enter. Only 'Busheytrader' ( Adam ) and myself with 7's. One thing I did notice a lot of lady owners of classics nowadays when compared to 10 years ago which is a great thing [8D]

Adams and my car, sorry I missed you mate but your car looks great -

This Escort belonged to a young lady ( approx early 20's ) and she paid £600 for this one owner 1300L, when was the last time you saw one ? She loves it and other classics, the future of our hobby.

I sold a Honds NS400RR to buy my DHC about 12 years ago, it was without doubt the most lunatic piece of machinery that I have ever owned, my wife persuaded me to sell it before I got myself into trouble[:D][:p]

Hi John,

I walked a few figure 8's of the green whilst there with the Mrs but never caught sight of you.

The usual mix of classics on display. A few that caught my eye.

What a wonderful assortment of machinery there John, thanks for the pics!

In the mid 1990s I worked in North Devon, & had a BMW 323i which I used to take to Barnstaple BMW for service. On one of my visits I had a test drive in the "new" 325i, but I clearly remember looking at an Alpina B10 Bi Turbo which was on the forecourt for sale. I have never seen one since until your picture.

Cheers John, I sense of bit of "photoshopping" on the corner of the bonnet there[;)]....................with it badged as a 7, firing up the V8 always turns a few heads. Apart from the larger pipe at the back there's no indication when parked up, apart from a genuine TR8 glovebox badge[:D]
