Random thoughts dept.: Still prepping my engine bay, but I got all nostalgic for great times in England when I came across some photos and the great site,

Looks like a wealth of info. Almost worth the 33 Pounds to join just see what's doing with the devoted Triumph community in and around England.
We do our TRs proud in over here, but there's just something so uniquely English about a line of Triumphs-whether Heralds or TRs-in front of some countryside pub. All out for a drive on their beautiful little roads.

Club Triumph is one of the most active Triumph clubs here in the UK. I believe the Club was originally started by Triumph themselves to cater for all models of Triumph cars, as opposed to the other clubs that often cater for a particular model or series.

The club organises a lot of events, & I am sure Beans will be able to comment further on that!

CT runs some great rallies and events.

Our Triumphs are driven very hard - Autobahn's at 100mph+ or Beans getting my car's back end breaking away during the RBRR were fun - and fixing the cars is part of the adventure. A new clutch installed at the roadside in the middle of France - no problem, design and build an emergency manual total loss water cooling system for an overheating fuel system in the middle of the Alps - no problem, manufacture a temporary perspex windscreen and fix it in place with duck tape - no problem. I just reread what I had written and realised that it sounds like this has all happened to me, but I just fill mine up with fuel and enjoy the driving.

Also, which seems to come from the Triumph Cars sporting heritage, CT members are not precious about the sort of Triumph you drive or how original / modified it is. TR7's with modified bits are very welcome, mind you I am still flabbergasted by a soft top Herald which had its original 948cc engine replaced by a Rover V8 3.5.

For what its worth I live & work in the middle east and booked my leave for the 10CR next September last November, so IMHO its well worth joining.

I can recommend the club triumph forum http://www.club.triumph.org.uk/cgi-bin/forum10/Blah.pl but then again I am bias being one of the forum moderators.

However I must add that I find this forum really useful since buying a TR7 as a company for my Vitesse.

CT, iIt sounds like THE club...from country lanes to flat out, tire burning venues. Great to hear your descriptions. I'm looking forward more than ever to getting on the road this summer. Pennsylvania has some back-roads and clubs too....alas, no autobahn.

Thanks Steve,
Am joining, the forum seems second only to mighty TR7.com for TR7/8s. I'm always amazed and a little envious of the amount of Triumph activities in and around England.
Great vicarious reading however.
