Hi i have just bought a 1977 r reg tr7 fhc with vinyl roof was this standard , an extra or a special model

Welcome to the forum were all questions can be answered. Do you mean vinyl roof or vinyl sun roof?

thanks for your reply the car is white and was registered in EDINBURGH from new and one owner

Hi Allan, welcome to the forum.

A vinyl roof was never supplied or a factory option on any UK TR7. Only the USA Victory edition came with a factory supplied vinyl roof.

Nice to see another Speke car being used and looked after. Post some pictures so we can have a look at her.

They were often fitted by dealers to many makes of car in the 70s as vinyl was very de rigueur.

Hi Allan - what Dealer in Edinburgh supplied your car - use to walk past a Triumph Dealer in Willowbrae Road on the way home from school ( well a small detour as was trying to impress / chat up a girl, which worked as she is my wife now )

Think there were lots of BL Dealers in Edinburgh at that time Rossleigh, Carmichaels & Appleyards mostly in the leafy suburbs.
