Anyone from the UK side ever use Coverdale Carpet sets?

I used them some time ago but not for my TR7. I have a vague idea they may supply Rimmers. None of the aftermarket items I've come across for the 7 fit as well as the moulded originals. The higher quality of the more expensive items as I recall were evident with the Coverdale range but then so is the higher price. Seems a lot to pay for a few square metres of carpet or should I say meters?[:)]

Well I think the cost is cheap compared to the almost 550 pounds equivalent they want here for a wool set

There's a company that sells sets on eBay for $160 or so. I got a set from Ron for $100 (he had bought a set for his car). They are pretty thin. I don't know how long they will last in the long term but initially should look OK. Haven't fitted them yet. You would only want to go this route if you are on a tight budget or if you are planning to sell the car and want to spruce it up a bit.

Without being molded as the originals were the rear ones look awful. Rubbish really. My '76 FHC still has the molded ones but needs new carpet and it would sure be nice to find someone who could duplicate the molded ones. I suppose some craftsman could custom cut those to make them fit well. The ones up put in the DHC are thin and not wearing well.

A quick search came up with this. Not expensive said to be molded from floor pan. Whose going to be guinea pig. You can order samples to check quality/colour.

It states the carpet is cut and sewn, thus not moulded. supercass

That sounds pretty good and the price is right. They say "Our replacement Triumph TR7 carpet kits are made from OEM Quality materials and are custom molded using a mold created from the original Triumph TR7 floor pan, providing the best quality and fit."

Thanks for posting that. I'm going to check them out.

It would be super if they were moulded, but I think you will find that on the intro to their website they explain that where moulded carpets aren't available they are cut and sewn. In the price list the TR7 carpets are detailed as cut and sew. I suspect the blurb is standardized by filling in the spaces! supercass
