I have a body kit fitted to my TR, although I did not know it was a Viper kit until I saw this thread.
Pictures attached.
Completed about 4 years ago but could not get the engine (brand new)to run right, unable to adjust mixture correctly, and then I just left it. But now I need to get it sorted, now runs but still very rich on idle with black plugs. Everything is new on it, Edelbrook 500 carb with Offenhauser inlet manifold. Any ideas chaps?

Hi have you checked the fuel pressure?
I would also check the jetting on the carb you may have to reduce the jets,
you can get a set that contains a varitey of jets also check the coil/ignition settings.
I hope this helps.
The paint job on your car looks great what is the colour.

Hi,

Those of us who have been hanging around here will for a few years remember my learned friend Paul W, his 4.6 'green monster' had a viper kit on it.

Anyone know if V8Wedgehead went ahead with his project to make a one piece fiberglass front bumper and spoiler?

Pardon my barging in here, but the complaint of over richness of the carburetor(s) is a favorite of mine.

1. Reduce the fuel pressure to about 1 1/2 lbs with a fuel pressure regulator.
2. Reset the float level about 1/8" lower than specified for your carburetor.
3. Now check your combustion color, either with a Colortune, or an exhaust gas analyzer, or using the chart I supplied on the next page, the coloring of the spark plug electrode.

After the mixture is correct, tinker with the fuel pressure regulator so it is delivering the minimum amount of fuel needed at top end without starvation.
