New TRDC mag

Postby TR Tony » 14 Dec 2012 10:48

Got my copy yesterday, another excellent read.

Lots of good stuff as usual. Nice write up about the NEC, but sad to see the last of the Travels With Jan articles.

And what has Mr Wood been up to? Amazing what you find in the hedgerows, good on you John for tracking that down[:D]

Got mine this morning too. You have to hand it to John for saving such an important car. We do have such enthusiastic members in the TRDC.

Well done mate,

Roy

My latest Sherlock Holmes type investigation will take place in the new year. I have been made aware of a very late FHC registered in late 1983 on an A plate. Apparently it's only done 40k form new and its not been used for over 20 years. I can't make arrangements with the owner until he returns on the 4th of January. I don't even know what colour it is at the moment.

A bit of useless information John. The last ever TR built was a French spec TR7 FHC,408530 not the last chassis number but the one with the latest build date.It was Pendelican white with navy velour trim, automatic transmission and air conditioning. The last home market TR7 was also automatic so the last FHC with manual transmission was 408191 which means that your Opporto red car(408130) was probably in the last 5 UK manual cars built.

I emailed Paul yesterday about my yellow lights-up car with the diagonal striping and also my all black car which is not a Toys-R-Us so one of those rarities Paul has apparently never seen and only heard rumours about. And no, it isn't a repainted car, it looks to be an all black gel coat.
