And the best classic car is...

Postby HowardB » 01 Dec 2012 17:53

For those of you who can access it, the Daily Telegraph has an series of pictures from the NEC which includes Howard Pryor's (NOT me, I hasten to add..) TR8 at the NEC. I hope the link works:-

Hmm, interesting selection.

I am pretty sure I have seen the blue RS1600 (picture number 13) at a couple of shows this year. It is in truly amazing condition, it never gets driven, the owner told me he doesn't even wind the windows up & down in case the glass gets scratched.

Now that's just a waste of a car! The bloody things are designed to be used and as such they should be.

Couldnt agree more, this is one thing you cannot level at Howard, his car get driven to show etc across muddy fields in damp weather the lot, taken at Knebworth this year on a cold damp Aug bank holiday Monday, in a field. IF there is a cleaner more original 'real' RHD TR8 I have yet to see it !

That's the way every engine bay should be.[:)]

We had one at our car show about 7 years ago that was like that (same colour too). He wanted $14,000 for it. Don't know what happened to it.

My next door neighbour has one, an immaculate collector plated blue colour that he sold his Ferrari for, just one problem with it, the rear suspension wagon spring pulled out the floor mounting bracket, guess the underside wasn't restored.[:(]

Maybe he'll sell it, it's been in the garage for a few years now.[:p]
