Steve do you mean 200 improvements between the last Speke car and the first Canley car or any improvements made after production moved.
The last Speke shell(ACG44328) built and the first Canley shell(TCG1000000) were identical.Simply because the only actual difference was the chassis number and decals. In fact most of the first Canley shells had been intended for Speke but werent used because of the strike.

I like the vinyl's, especially the laurel wreath design...

The emblem badge made it seem like a "real" car but you don't see many so it kind of feels out of place. I believe they had an ad out mentioning the 200 improvements, it's hard to believe they weren't memorialized some where just in case somebody asked "and they would be...?"

Does anybody know at what point in the strike they decided to move the factory and when it was actually "moved".

I do like the enamel badge but I much prefer the early decals as used on the Speke cars. I'm not particularly fond of the laurel leaf of the Canley cars.

Speke was closed in May 1978 and production started at Canley in October of that year. It was Sir Michael Edwardes who became British Leyland chairman in November 1977 on the very day the Speke work force went on strike who pushed through the motion to shut the plant and transfer production to Canley. The British Prime Minister at the time Sir James Callaghan urged Sir Michael too scrap the TR7 with the closure of Speke. Thankfully he ignored this request and the Canley TR7 was born.

Andrew, the map pockets were deleted about March 1977.

One thing that Albert Tingey was talking about this summer was the improvements to the bonnets(hoods)- extra welding to stop them flexing.
Albert confirmed mine was one of the earlier versions that you could almost play like the Rolf Harris wobble board!

Changed the boot struts from a good old mechanical system to little struts that can hardly hold it (improvement?).

Having one of each, I appreciate the latches over the screw fasteners for the air scoop. That was a needed change.

That change was done at Speke I think, my FHC ( 76 car ) has clips.

How about glove box sticker [?]
