Thanks guy's,

The dash is I think a grey later one, not the black earlier dash.

The green interior does have the black border which would match the hood so has some merit.

Mike has sent me pictures of his green seats, still pondering though.

Cheers

Hugh

If you notice, the picture has a greyish tinge to it, a function of lighting and CCD /electronics of the cell phone/digital camera. The dash is the same colour as the rubber cooling hoses. The charcoal(grey) dash looks good with a black interior (as evidenced by the Spider) although at first blush it might not seem so.

Hugh,

My triton TR7 interior was tan check, but most cars I came across had Blue Check. I think the Tan check looked better than blue.

Thanks guy's

Seems that most Triton green cars have a blue interior then.

Can't bring myself to go for that.

Brown is definitely a nice match, however my black hood is driving me towards the green check interior with the black edging.

Guess the only other option would be to fit some non factory back seats and just go for the green door cards

Have got a chance to get this interior, it seems a little grubby but should clean up OK

Would this be a better option than a Green Tartan one?

Looks more putty than grey. Not sure it works on a Triton green seven but not my call.

I can see why these restorations are taking so long :D !!

FWIW my little white car has the green check stuff on doors, black carpets, dash, trim panels and black seats (hence some of the spare green check items)- god knows what the seats are out of- but very comfy on long journeys and my spine needs looking after these days.

If I had my time over again and enough spare to build up a car from scratch I think I'd go with black leather everywhere; (an automotive "Sons of Marlon Brando " look) they might have had no taste in the 70's but we've all moved on and grown up a bit, for me blue and green is a no no.
I'm assuming you want to drive the thing rather than start up your own museum!! Ultimately it is what you like and want and can enjoy driving around in that counts as everyone's idea of what looks best is different, as clearly demonstrated by my thoughts and everyone elses up above!! You could probably get some one to agree with any combination discussed so far!!!!
