sill trim clips

When in place then how does one remove that strip when painting is needed, for example

The trim pops on and off the clips. I used a wide blade scraper to get under the trim from below, slid it along until it found a clip. Then pried up carefully. Once one or two are off you can just pull the trim to the front (or back) and it will slide off the rest of the clips.
