Thats the one.. I'm still reeling from the 600 mile round trip to Folkstone. Getting it loaded was a nightmare which took 2.5 hours. I was assured it was a runner and I borrowed a trailer that had the winch handle missing. Strangely the vendor though it ran on air as it had not a whiff of petrol in it. I decided not to take any either as I didnt want the smell of it in the Jeep with me. (I even took cushions and a quilt in the back in case I had to stop and sleep).
The car was in an old shed miles away from habitation. It was starting and dying on a bit of 2 stroke mixture got out of the guys chainsaw but the battery gave up soon after.
I then tried to turn the winch with a spanner and moved the car about a foot in fifteen minutes. He found a winch handle off another trailer but it didnt fit. After another 10 mins of spanner winding I spotted another winch handle which fitted.. he had found this one sometime before and put it down without mentioning it!
I had a good look around the car last night and took lots of pictures, I put petrol in and charged the battery overnight and she started up fine this morning before I had to leave for work.
I noticed water dripping on the ground when she went on the trailor and looking closer, she appears to have no water remaining in the hoses etc. Her name is Carmel and I'll get some pictures up soon.
My wife thinks that I have taken leave of my senses and is starting to ask embarrassing financial questions as the fleet has grown to four. I am also now struggling for space.
