They actually sound pretty good! They have stayed put with no problems coming unsnapped or anything like that. Keep in mind, I've got the original head unit in there so it's not producing big fancy sound, but they sound good to me and I can hear them clearly with the top down. They're cheap enough that it was worth the risk to me and I'm real glad I got them. As stated earlier, each speaker is the same so if they will be mounted in plain view you'll have to mount them going the same direction. The open port is on the right side of each speaker and I wanted the sound to be symmetrical more than the appearance.
