Before anyone knocks the TR Drivers Club have a look at the guys who spend their free time monitoring & maintaining this forum - strangely the same names crop up.
If you don't want to join a Club thats fine - I joined & met a great bunch of fellow like minded TR7 Owners even in the pouring rain.

Zip lock bags are fine - I don't need to wax polish mine much & it gets dried after a trip out in the rain when put back inside !

i find it interesting how a thread takes on a life of its own!!

as for what you do with your TR its a personal choice,,

as i said to a friend of mine a few years ago when he was talking again about putting his youth vehicle back on the road but was worried about this or that very minor fault but still polishing it..,

" dont worry when you die your wife will just sell it and the next bloke will just put fuel in it and have a great time "

and clubs are like life.... you get out what you put in.

the club fees .... less than you pay on badly writen classic mags over the year.

yours an owner of a tr7.v8 not been on the road for 12 years when i bought it,,, mot'ed in less than a week

Your post man must be a busy lad with magazine's delivery's to your house !

Only belong to two myself, TRDC ( 24 years ) and The TR Register ( 16 years ) Was a member for a year of Club Triumph and enjoyed it, great club for events, if not the best, as far as magazine concerned not the best IMHO. The other thing a about the TRDC is despite being one of the smaller Triumph clubs, its one of, if not , the cheapest to jion and as others have said you save the cost of jioning on insurance discount so a win win situation. And get a great mag at least 90% devoted to TR7 & 8 [8D]

Met some great people through the TRDC and personaly you cant put a price on that !

The great mag which wont be cheap to produce n print and billing which dosent come cheap....
There is the cost of the venue hire of the beer tent pumps co2 and beer that dosent get supped i dont suppose you can send 1/2 a barrel back, insurance I would imagine.
Etc etc etc
I would say its worth it......

And we're trying to tie up as many wedges as possible around the world in the hope of getting more things done in the future. We can only do this if people support the clubs (and the people) trying to support their cars.

The TRDC have done a heck of a lot to promote the TR7 and 8 here in the UK and it's had an impact. Interest in the cars has never been so high and some owners who have sold have reaped the benefits of that.

I'm just as remote as Steve being as I'm at the arse end of the country in darkest Cornwall but I appreciate all the club has done for my model of car. If I'd have had my car on show at the NEC classic I'd have been really proud so I really don't understand the negativity.

Just sent in the New Member list for edition 185, next on the list with plenty of pictures to see at tatton Park TR7/8 event, which is now on its second year and open to all TR7/8 Owners.
