For the air con I simply bought the entire system from a car imported from the US. The car was to be raced, so the aircon was coming out anyway.
It is a dash out job to install the under dash air con ventilation system. That went in after a complete overhaul.
Next we modified the compressor mounting bracket to take a modern compressor, fitted a modern filter, re-cored the radiator, & fitted a 16 inch Kenlo thermostatically controlled fan, added new hoses, overhauled the alternator, & my air was cold.
You will need more amps ideally than our alternators put out, but I couldn't find one that was a suitable fit. Mildred has done a post on a suitable swap for US based cars.
All you really need is the under dash unit, [overhauled] & the compressor mounting bracket will make it easier, but otherwise, unless it is a working unit, you're going to replace most of the rest, which is over 30 years old after all.
