Theres some strange comments on here, obviously some people dont realise that all club officials in the TR Drivers club(and most other clubs) are unpaid volunteers. None of us receive a penny in wages expenses or any other remuneration. Jim TR, John Clancy, Maxwell, Phil Humphries, Simon Triton TR7,John Wood, John Lucas and others all do many hours unpaid work to keep the club going. This happens in all car clubs nowadays. The moral is that if all you get from your club is the magazines then why not get involved in some way, the more you put in the more you get out. Write articles for the magazine, start up an area group. These are things I started doing, before that I did nothing else but read the club magazines. That was eight years ago(Id been a member for 6 years prior)
Any help is welcome, I dont mind criticism if a practical no cost solution is also offered.
An aside, if you put on your insurance form that you are a club member(any club)if then you decide not to renew your membership, you must inform the insurer of the change. If not it will be used as a reason not to pay out.
