Uhh, well, we have certainly seen worse. It looks like a lot of work went into it. I wonder how much weight all of that adds. No engine bay shots either.

A BIG thumbs down. Where the fenders meet the top of the doors, behind the side windows, slab threatment back the amphicar looking front, the floor register vent on the side....well just about everything.

<font face="Comic Sans MS"><font size="2">The tail light treatment is horrible, the front bumper is wrong, made worse by those silly eyeball lights.

The "B" pillar treatment is neat, those flying buttresses and blackout inserts would have to be the best attempt at changing the profile of the TR-7 fhc I've seen.

The louvered vents in the front guards/wings/fenders (according to whatever they are called where you are) are a bit silly unless they actually do serve some purpose. I see no reason use for pointless scoops, vents and louvers, form should follow function.

As for that bloody awful great lump of plastic stuck on the boot lid....it makes me wonder if there is a 747 some where out there with it's starboard wing missing! [:D]</font id="size2"></font id="Comic Sans MS">

For those of you that missed it, Kryten, from 90's scifi series Red Dwarf was played by Robert Llewellyn (of Scrapheap Challenge fame). Rob is also a bit of a car buff.

I have seen a reference to that "Mouserati" car a few years ago - IIRC it was a project for some college students in their engineering class or something like that.

Someone bought it off the college & finished it to the car you now see.

The same colour as mine, but not as good looking!!! I think it would be massively improved by a much lower lower edge to the front air dam, if it came down to the same level as the sill, it would make it look less awkward all over and rather aggressive in a Nissan Skyline sort of way.

By the way, the wife said it looks quite nice, but said the rear wing looked ridiculous, I think she liked the colour personally.

I spotted this car whilst working down in Swindon recently and my reaction was WTF.
Seemed to drive ok though.

I've seen worse but you're right...with that front end you should have a couple of propellers sticking out the back.

The Amphicar did have a Triumph engine in it after all.

Apart from the guards, front area & rear lights I like it. It might be quicker to say that I like the smooth doors & the roof line. Why did they have to put that badge on it though?!

It never ceases to amaze me how much hard work some people will put into a project.

I personally think it's awful - but I could never have achieved such a good transformation (as in quality of workmanship) so not sure I'm in a position to criticise.

And with reference to the badges - who do you think you are ever going to hoodwink into thinking it's not something pretending to be something else?
