Hi everyone,
My name is Sheldon, i'm new to TR7s, and I wanted one since I turned 16 in 1976. I just picked up one on the nicest 7s in the states. It a one owner 1980 TR7 with 65K on it. He has won 67 trophies with it, 27 of them first place. It was used in the original TR7 add with thee other TRs. The man I got it from has babied it since new. But because of his health he has not driven it for the past four years. The car needs a tune up and a good buffing. Can't wait to take it to some shows.
Thank you
Sheldon

I think this link should send you to my pictures of the TR7.
It had never been in the rain untill it rained on it when I brought it home.
I felt bad about that. Has not been washed or driven in the last 4 years.
Hope this works.

Welcome Sheldon. That car is in amazing condition!

The factory alloy wheels are not out of place but did you get those original wheels & trims trims with it that are shown in the ad & early photos? That is a car that deserves to be kept exactly like it started out. Enjoy!

Yes, I got them with new tires on them, the same thats in the add. he would change everything back to original depending on the show he went to. I will get you more info on the car soon.
I want you to know I feel very lucky to be able to find this car. Its a tribute to the man that took such good care of it. I hope I can do the same. I am enjoying learning about TR7s so much. The TR7 was the very first car I fell in love with in 1975 I turned 16 in 76 and thought I had to have one. I took every add out of all our school news weeks and covered every inch of my bedroom with them. I wish I had them all now I would corner the market on EBay. My parents did not see it that way. Maybe it was for the best. I will have a lot of questions in the future.
This will be so much fun!
Thanks
Sheldon

A real find. I don't think the chromed brass expansion tank would be original as it should be painted black. I've stripped the paint off mine and polished it to see how I like it. Still that way. The original tank has a leak and had much solder so would have to be painted black if/when returned to car. With a car like that you have to keep it like was in the ad, anything else is like touching up a Rembrandt because it's a little too dark in places.[:p]

Thank you all for the kind words. But I may have spoken out of turn, about how nice my car was. I have been looking at some of the cars in here and there beautiful.
Randy your Spider is fantastic, and so many others. This is a fun site.
My car came originally from New Jersey, and when I picked it up, I got it from Bath PA, I kind of found that funny because of Bath England. I went there when I was 20, it was beautiful. I never knew that there where so many nice TR7s. All the 7s I have seen for sale look like they where ridden hard and put away wet. I am looking forward to learning about my new car and about all of yours.
Thank you again
