MG-F Wheels

When you fit MG-F wheels to a TR7, which wheel nuts do you use?

TR7 Convertible
Sprint Motor
MegaSquirt EFI

Hi,

MGF, they have a tapered face to fit against the wheel.

When I fitted my set last year I bought new ones from Brown & Gammons in Baldock - they are MGF nuts - also available on ebay.

Which MGF style wheels are you fitting? The very early style are definitely OK, but you may find the centre hole binds slightly when you fit them.

I don't know what type they are...they're on Aus. Ebay and I'm just looking.

Hi Stag, I got one of the later ones for a spare on the 8, as the old one would not clear the brakes, at either end. I had been carrying a stock alloy, which was only useful as a spare for the stock rear end, & holding the boot/trunk floor up.

With those nuts John shows, it worked on the front hub fine, clearing the Volvo brakes, & on the Skyline diff & brakes.

I Just removed my standard TR7 wheels and used the wheel nuts for the MG TF Alloys on - No problems at all.
