Planning to come across to Tatton Park in June & have a question.

From last years event I see there was a special TR7 Celibration but for this year would I be stuck in the group of Sportscars ie the MG's etc or will there be a huge group of TR7's in one area.

The Local Shows I attended so far, I have felt like the 'Only Gay in the Village ' amongst the MG & Stags etc - record so far was 2 TR7's at one show of 500 cars & we were at the other end of the field to each other !

Cancelled my TR Register Membership as I felt I had trodden in dog dirt when I turned up in the 7 by the 6 'old boys'.

Spoke to Chris regarding the TR Drivers Club & see they are hoping to have a stand, for me to walk over to meet a few of you.

Neil,Im hoping to have a very big TR Drivers club stand, you will be welcome to put your car on it with ours. It will be good to meet you and you will be surprised by the friendliness of most TR owners. Put it in your diary and ill let you have details nearer the time.

Neil,

The TRDC is the only place to be in a car such as yours.

As John and Chris have said you will be among TR7 friendly people
who will welcome you and admire your fantastic car.

I will hope to be one of them.

Roy

It's a date & Chris I will sort out membership for the TR Drivers Club when I get back to the UK in April - I can send the Application Form for Tatton before then.

In the short few weeks I have been visiting you all - it has become clear this is the place for me & Pud.

Morning Neil,

I went for 2 nights last year and you will not be on your own, I think last year we had between 20 & 30 TR7\8's there each day.[:D]

All,

Carrying on from last year success the TRDC will have a stand again at tatton and speaking to Fixedhead over last weekend. He's already sent out application forms to all who booked last year with an indivual application form, plus another form for Oulton Park.

All you need to do is fill in the form and return it back with a self address envelope and accordingly fill in the section Do you belong to a club e.g. TRDC hopefully and Stuart will do the rest.

This three day event camping is available on site and looking into having a saturday evening run with some long tunnels for the V8 car to rumble through.

Thank you for your interest in the shows, entry forms already in the post or if you didn't come last year (printable) forms on our website at www.cheshireautopromotions.co.uk ,top right of home page, click entry forms, select the shows you want, click on individual entry form and print. Don't have a printer? Then send a S.A.E to:- TR7 Display, C.A.P. PO Box 175 M32 8WN State which shows you'd like to attend and we will send you the forms!! Thanks again!

For insurance reasons I think, non TRDC member cars will be on a stand right next to the main TRDC club display so, as Jim said, PLEASE STATE WHETHER A MEMBER OR NOT. We will still all be close together, all part of the same celebration of the fabulous 'FLYING WEDGE'!!!
Same applies for Oulton Park, all together but only Club Cars on TRDC bit for insurance reasons. You'll still be made very welcome by a great crowd of enthusiasts!!

Of course anyone who wants to can join on the day, no problem, no pressure!! It's worth it just for the Club Mag.!!!

Again this year there will be lots of trophies for the 'WEDGES' ON ALL THREE DAYS at Tatton and on BOTH DAYS at Oulton!!!! Can't wait!!!
Regards
Stuart.(fixed-head)More info 07915 221 737.

PS please don't think your car has to be 'mint' to take part, these cars are so rare these days we are very happy with a few rolling restorations, in fact cars like that usually attract more attention than the 'minters'!!!!!

A fantastic bit of publicity for the TR7 & TR8 weekend and the TR Drivers Club as supporters, in this weeks (Wednesday 7th March) Classic Car Weekly on page 38. It's almost a 1/4 page!!! They have included a superb photo of a Rally TR7 in action!! Has anyone else seen it?!!

Thanks Chris! that will help a lot!!!, last year we got a lot more interest after it had appeared in the magazine. Most of the TR's entered so far are TRDC Members up to now!

I think the planned 'drive out' is making the event even more appealing for owners!!
Cheers
Stuart.

Hello All,
Entries for Tatton Park TR7 & TR8 Weekend are going well, not quite as well as last year but I think that's due to it being a Bank Holiday weekend. The rest of the show is pretty much full, 250 trade stands booked, 86 Car Clubs and loads of private entries!!!! 2500 cars each day!!

We are still taking entries for the TR7's and TR8's, please use this entry form to get booked in:-

http://www.cheshireautopromotions.co.uk ... xhibit.pdf

so far we have:-

Saturday = 18 Wedges
Sunday = 16 Wedges
Monday = 10 Wedges

Other TR's = Loads and Loads as usual!!

WE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT TR7's & TR8's RIGHT TO THE LAST MINUTE, PLEASE ENTER NOW IF YOU FANCY A GREAT WEEKEND at Tatton Park!!

Thank You
Stuart.

Stuart,

Not about turnout over the three days looking forward to the event but still have a fews jobs to do on the TR8.

Will be sending in a form tomorrow for 5 more cars for the Sunday so like last year the highest turnout will be sunday again.

All,

Looking at doing a small run on the sunday night through a few tunnels and maybe a meal if anyone is interested.
